It’s All Okay

It’s all okay. No matter what feeling you have right now, at this moment. It’s okay.

Is it anger? It’s alright to feel anger at the current situation that we’ve all been thrust into. It’s unfair.

Is it anxiety? Being worried about work, loved ones, and your own health is expected given the circumstances. Don’t be hard on yourself.

Is it grief? Are you grieving the loss of someone or something that you loved to do and can’t do anymore? Are you grieving that the world may never be the same again, or at least, not for a long time? Go ahead and allow yourself the sadness over whatever it is.

Is it happiness? I’ve been talking to kids and teens that are much happier learning and being at home than they are having to go to school. Kids are happy being home with their mom and dad. Being happy is still okay. When you find happiness, go for it.

Everyone is processing the pandemic differently. You may even have a range of these feelings on a daily basis. No one is wrong. Feelings are just that. Feelings. They might pass quickly, or they may stay awhile. No matter what your personal process is, it’s okay.
